STEP ONE: GATHER INFORMATION

This section has a TON of very helpful information - and will answer 90% of your questions. STEP TWO: PUPPY APPLICATION
Complete our Online Puppy Application
This is not a "Test" it is simply the best way for us to find out some basic information about you and what type of a puppy you are looking for..... We will refer to this application when helping you make some very important decisions about coat type, size, and temperament.
STEP THREE: DETERMINING WHAT IS AVAILABLE NOW & IN THE FUTURE
QUITE OFTEN, OUR CURRENTLY AVAILABLE PUPPY LISTS ARE ALL RESERVED BEFORE THE LITTERS HAVE EVEN BEEN BORN. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND FORWARDING A $100 DEPOSIT ON OUR FUTURE LITTERS LISTS IN ADVANCE OF WHEN YOU WILL BE READY FOR A NEW PUPPY. (THESE ARE THE LITTERS THAT HAVE NOT YET BEEN BORN/BRED) THIS WILL GIVE YOU FIRST OPTION, IN THE ORDER THE DEPOSITS WERE RECEIVED, BEFORE WE MAKE THESE NEXT PUPPIES AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
We cannot always tell you in advance, which parents, what sizes, or what generations we will have in any specific month. When a female is ready to be bred - we take a look at our future litter deposit lists, while comparing that to what litters we may have already bred, as well as considering the health testing, coat type, generation, and temperament before we ever decide who we will breed her to. Because of this, we typically do not know exactly what may be available in a certain month. WE DO HOWEVER MOST OFTEN HAVE SEVERAL LITTERS OF MINIS AND STANDARDS PLANNED IN THE FUTURE. WE DO NOT HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF PETITES.
IF YOU ARE ANXIOUS TO SPEAK TO US BEFORE WE RESPOND TO YOUR PUPPY APPLICATION- YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO CALL OR TEXT, BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND WE ARE A FAMILY NOT A RETAIL STORE - IT IS POSSIBLE WE MAY HAVE TO RETURN YOUR CALL.
STEP FOUR: HAVE A PHONE CONVERSATION WITH US
After submitting your puppy application - we will do our very best to call you a.s.a.p. During this call you can ask any questions you have about the Goldendoodle breed in general as well as questions concerning specific puppies or litters.
Most often Louise will call you to answer your questions and help you navigate through our process. Beth (Owner of Lakeshore Doodles) is able to be at each puppy picking day in order to help you choose the very best puppy for the specific needs of your home and family. (The puppies live with Beth and her family - if on a very rare occasion Beth cannot personally be there to assist you on puppy picking day, Jessica, Beth's daughter, will be very informed with all of the appropriate information about each individual puppy in order to help you)
STEP FIVE: SEND IN YOUR NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT
If at this time we have both decided that we have a good fit for your family as well as for one of our babies - you can then forward a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to hold your spot on our reservation list. Your deposit may be moved to another litter at anytime if it is better for you to do so, or if we do not find the perfect match from the litter you originally chose.
Our deposits are $100 and are non-refundable. We will however refund them if for example their is one puppy left to choose from and this puppy is not a good match for your family. If this occurs you can switch your deposit to another puppy or litter, or we will refund the deposit for you. It is very important to us that the puppy you take home is a suitable match!

PLEASE WRITE THE PARENTS NAMES OF THE LITTER YOU ARE INTERESTED IN IF YOU KNOW, IF NOT WRITE FUTURE MINI OR STANDARD LIST - ON THE FRONT OF THE CHECK, OR FUTURE LITTER, SO WE CAN BE SURE THAT WE HAVE ADDED YOU TO THE CORRECT LITTER OR LIST.
AS SOON AS YOU HAVE WRITTEN YOUR CHECK AND YOU ARE READY TO MAIL IT IN TO US - PLEASE TAKE A PHOTO OF THE FRONT OF THE CHECK AND TEXT IT TO 585-623-0426. WHEN WE RECEIVE THE PHOTO WE WILL ADD YOU TO THE NEXT SPOT ON THE RESERVATION LIST. IF WE WAIT UNTIL WE RECEIVE THE CHECK IN THE MAIL - YOU MAY GET PUSHED FURTHER DOWN IN THE PICKING ORDER FOR THAT LITTER.... IF OTHERS LEAVE DEPOSITS.
DO NOT SEND THE DEPOSIT - WITH A SIGNATURE REQUIRED.

STEP SIX: CUSTOMER INFO SECTION
After you have forwarded your deposit please complete ALL 6 STEPS IN OUR CUSTOMER INFO SECTION - YOU CAN CLICK ON THE TAB AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE in order to go to this section.
STEP SEVEN: WAIT PATIENTLY TO MEET THE PUPPIES
This is typically the most difficult part of the process! Our puppy visits and choosing day MOST OFTEN takes place on the first Saturday that the puppies have turned 8 weeks of age. The appointments on this day take place in the order that the deposits have arrived. Please note the date of the puppy picking day (listed by each litter) to ensure you will be available on that specific day - we cannot change these dates and times. These appointments can take place in person or if you cannot come personally we can also do it via SKYPE. Either way we are here to help you make the best choice possible.
We do not discuss individual puppies before this date because by waiting until they are 8 weeks of age we have had the opportunity to assess each puppies temperament, coat type, energy level, and size in order to help you make the best choice for your family.
People who have not put down a deposit will only be scheduled an appointment to meet any available puppies after those who have placed deposits have made their selections. This does not typically occur as most of our litters are sold before they are 8 weeks of age.
We typically update the photos of the puppies 2-3 times before they go home. Puppy photos, as you can imagine, can be quite time consuming to take for sure - and we do our very best to keep them updated - but please understand that we will never be able to take as many as you would love to see....... LOL!
ADDITIONAL PURCHASING INFORMATION
Standard Size - 21-23" at the shoulders and about 60 to 70 pounds - $2500-$3000
Medium Size - 18 - 20" at the shoulders and about 40-55 pounds - $2500-$3000
Miniature Size - 16 - 18" at the shoulders and about 30-35 pounds - $2500-$3000
Petite Size - 10 - 13" at the shoulders and about 15-25 pounds - $2500-$3000
Pricing is dependent on the amount of health testing done, size, and color patterns
REMAINING BALANCE DUE:
The remainder of the purchase price is paid on the day the puppy is picked up or delivered to you. You can pay the balance by certified bank check or cash only. We prefer certified bank checks over cash whenever possible.
IF YOUR PUPPY IS GOING TO THE TRAINERS - LAKESHORE MUST RECEIVE YOUR PAYMENT IN FULL PRIOR TO THEM LEAVING OUR HOME. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE WE RECEIVE PAYMENT ON TIME - WE WILL NOT BE CALLING YOU TO ASK FOR IT.
IF PAYING BY CASH BE SURE TO HAVE THE CORRECT AMOUNT AS WE WILL NOT HAVE CHANGE
THERE IS 8% NYS SALES TAX ON ALL PUPPIES
TRAINING FEES ARE NOT PAYABLE TO LAKESHORE....
Mini/Petite/Medium/Standard Puppies are $2500 (plus $200 tax) - $3000 (plus $240 tax) NYS Sales Tax is 8% additional. Your $100 deposit is taken off of the final balance.
We do have personal delivery services available for most of our litters. Please contact us for additional information. This takes place in Syracuse NY which is convenient for those traveling from Mass, Conn, NYC and NJ. The cost for this is $300. On occasion we can deliver to Albany NY for $400. Please contact us directly to see if there are delivery possibilities for you. When this is available it most often occurs on the Monday afternoon - after puppy picking day - which is the Saturday when the puppies are 8 weeks of age.
DO WE FLY OUR PUPPIES?
Yes, but only if you fly into either the Buffalo International Airport or the Rochester International Airport and we will gladly bring the puppy to you for a $50 fee. ROCHESTER IS CLOSEST TO US.
DO WE OFFER PUPPIES WITH FULL BREEDING RIGHTS?
No, we do not. EVERY PUPPY MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED AND YOU WILL BE SIGNING A LEGAL AGREEMENT CONCERNING THIS.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SALE TO ANY PERSON WHOM WE FEEL IS NOT THE BEST CHOICE FOR ONE OF OUR PUPPIES - THIS MAY BE DUE TO US HAVING CONCERNS ABOUT THE GENERAL TRAINING, WELFARE, AND CARE OF THE PUPPY OR WITH THE CUSTOMERS INABILITY TO WORK AGREEABLY WITH US PERSONALLY. WE DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE AN IN DEPTH EXPLANATION FOR OUR DECISION - AS OUR PUPPIES ARE OUR BABIES AND WE MUST FEEL CONFIDENT THAT THE PUPPY WILL BE WELL CARED FOR AND THAT THOSE PURCHASING OUR PUPPIES WILL AGREEABLY GO ALONG WITH OUR POLICIES BEFORE AND AFTER BRINGING A NEW PUPPY HOME. OUR POLICIES ARE NOT CONCERNING OR HARD TO ACCEPT.... BEFORE OR AFTER THE SALE - BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE DIFFICULT AND HARD TO PLEASE NO MATTER HOW EXCELLENTLY WE DO OUR JOB. OWNING A PUPPY IS A COMMITMENT THAT TAKES PATIENCE, FLEXIBILITY, AND UNDERSTANDING. IF THESE ARE NOT QUALITY TRAITS THAT YOU POSSESS IN WORKING WITH PEOPLE - WE WILL ASSUME YOU WILL NOT HAVE THEM WHEN DEALING WITH OUR PUPPIES EITHER.
WE ALSO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP ANY PUPPY FROM ANY LITTER - WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE PUT OURSELVES ON THE RESERVATION LIST.
